I remember leafing through a copy of one of my fashion magazines a few years back and chancing upon an article about a 'drag' ballet troupe, 'Ballet Trocadero of Monte Carlo', I think, and dreaming of running away to join them!

Dear Mistress Catherine,

A week from today!

My dream is more real. It's not for me. It's to see one of my grand-cupcake's in the lead role of a Ballet.

In fact, "Giselle," will be the Ballet that my cupcake-in-law, and my Grand-daughters will be seeing next Sunday.

It was three years ago, this current weekend, that I didn't have to cook on Friday night. Mistress and I had seen so many, "bits and pieces," ballet, jazz, and tap in our grand-cupcake's Dance Competitions during the past decade. The Boston Ballet was performing, "Giselle." It was, "Ms. Susan;" not, "Missy Susan," that took the, "T," (The same, MTA [MBTA] that the Kingston Trio sang about.) to the Wang Centre. Mistress couldn't attend. She was in the Hospital.

Due to my work schedule, Sunday Matinees are the only performances I can attend. My cupcake-in-law drives the girls in from Connecticut.

Mistress, you wrote that, "Giselle," was your favorite when you were little was replaced by, "Swan Lake." I told one of my customers, in Boston's Financial District, that it was a good thing that I had an extra hankie in my bag. She told me, "If you used two hankies with, "Giselle," you'll need five with, "Swan Lake!"

That year, when Mistress and I went to the girl's Dance Recital, I told the Dance Teacher, about my trip to the Boston Ballet. She asked me, if I liked it and if never see another Ballet, see, "Swan Lake."

"Swan Lake," is on our, "wish list," for either the Boston Ballet or the American Ballet Theatre in N.Y.C.

However, it's a, "Susan-less," time. Although all our cupcake know about my preference of Gender Identity, their request is not to see me, "dressed." Mistress and I are fine with that. I'm in my Tuxedo. I have flowers for the girls. However, when I see so many cupcake and cupcake dresses being worn, I do have a touch of sadness. However, their hugs over-come that. My cupcake-in-law still checks for a bra-band on my back!

The Ballet is nice, that people know how to dress to attend. They don't look as a bunch of misplaced tourists, dressed in their, "play clothes," as they do on Broadway.

During one of this year's competitions, my oldest grand-cupcake earned (won) an extra award for the choreography for her own Ballet and for her cupcake's Jazz-dance. This will be our second season for all of us to be at the Ballet. I'm going to have to get a third, "brag-book," for my purse.

I guess, that I've gone, "on and on," but pride in my grand-daughters over-comes me. They are also are working on the Girl Scout's, "Silver Star," award. They take music lessons (French Horn and Violin) and play Field Hockey, and excel in school.

Now, Empress, could you answer a question for me?

What to the different terms mean or indicate? "Empress," "Goddess," et cetera. I know what Mistress means, as my Wife is mine.

Did you take Dance lessons when you were a girl?

Yes Missy Susan - I did take ballet when I was a girl and no - I haven't seen Jewels. Should I? Please tell me more about it.

With regard to the different terms; "Empress" is simply an honorary title bestowed upon LDW Mistresses. Mistresses with that title simply became associated with LDW after a certain date. I'm quite happy to be addressed as "Mistress" and, in fact, this would be my preference although "Madam" is also acceptable.
