Jamie, of course I don't know Central Florida streetscapes but I'd assumed they'd be more modern than the photo's (I'd thought more Philadelphia than New York, though!)
btw, Jamie, did you PM me recently, or try to? I discovered recently that my inbox was full and might have blocked incoming messages.

Yes, I suppose you have a point about Manhattan being rather behind the times, Stephanie Fashion Model. Perhaps one of these days we'll get around to fixing that. To answer your question, Stephanie, no, I didn't private-message you. If your inbox is full, though, you can save all your messages in CSV or XML formats and then delete some messages in order to free-up some inbox space. (I apologize, Stephanie, for not responding to your present question sooner.)

By the way, for any who might want it, the following is the recipe I use for the low-carbohydrate pizza that I mentioned in my previous November 28, 2021 post in this thread. It's super-delish!
* Mercy ( food.com/user/134663 ), "Low Carb Deep Dish Pizza", Food.com, Apr. 29, 2005, https://wayback.archive.org/web/2011122 ... zza-119679 , http://webcitation.org/6D8WO3QIN , https://archive.is/k392F .
My modifications: step No. 5: 28 min; step No. 11: 23 min. The timing of these steps will vary depending on one's oven, and on the toppings with step No. 11.
Enjoy!

Elaborating on other items that would be on the LowCarbo menu:Jamie Michelle wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 2:46 am ...
Oh, a long time ago I already thought-up a fast-food restaurant business that would basically have a license to print money. I call it LowCarbo, a ketogenic restaurant. The basic idea behind it is that one could gorge oneself there on any mix of the items and still lose weight. We'd have low-carbohydrate pizza (wherein the crust is made with cheese), low-carbohydrate Tex-Mex (such as my nachos supreme with pork rinds), etc., and it'd all be mind-blowingly meaty, cheesy, creamy, salty, rich and delicious! ...StephanieFashionModel wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 9:02 am ...

I come from the low-carbohydrate and barbecue capital of this here Hubblesphere [1]: the Hill Country of Texas, world-renowned for its dry-rub slow-smoked meats, its mind-blowingly tasty sausage, and its Texas-style chili con carne. One of my all-time favorite meats is slow-smoked marbled (i.e., fatty) brisket, which is a Hill Country specialty.
When I lived in little ol' Manhattan with my previous boyfriend, we would often get that style of barbecued brisket from a delightfully enjoyable restaurant named Hill Country Barbecue Market (see "About Us", https://www.hillcountry.com/about-us/ , https://archive.md/Tp6bP ). They also have Texas-style chili (which is low-carbohydrate) and Hill Country-style sausage. Yummy!

Sounds nice, Stephanie Fashion Model! I've had Jameson Irish Whiskey before, and I enjoyed it! Jamie, I've baked cakes with a dash of whiskey, although I preferred the cake which was 'doused' with rum! Ab-solutely gorgeous, although it's not my original recipe!

That cake is a recipe from a South African brother-cupcake baking team; I'll see can I find it for you online, if you're interested!

Thank you for that musical reference, Stephanie! It's a cute song! It sounds familiar, so I've perhaps run across it before. I learned that it comes from Gilbert and Sullivan's 1885 opera The Mikado. And I'm sure you'd make for a pretty geisha girl! That cake is a recipe from a South African brother-cupcake baking team; I'll see can I find it for you online, if you're interested!
(and I shared it with friends! Even my dentist was wanting more!) :D

And yes, I'd appreciate your cake recipe! Thanks for the offer, Stephanie! Right now my husband and I don't have a working oven, but perhaps someday I can put your recipe to use. If nothing else, others on the forum might enjoy your recipe!

I'll do a search for that recipe, Jamie. But although my oven was working when I baked that cake, now that I have to rely on microwave oven I've found that I can still bake cakes - albeit its a little harder to achieve an even 'rise'!

Thanks for your recipe-locating efforts, Stephanie! I've never attempted to bake a cake in a microwave, though it's nice to know that it's doable should there arise an emergency requiring cake to solve. The 'secret', Jamie, is to turn the cake - I generally turn it four times during a typical bake - so that the heat is evenly distributed (of course, then you need to be consistent: I always turn it clockwise! Since it's the natural way, it's easier to remember!)Jamie Michelle wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 2:10 amThanks for your recipe-locating efforts, Stephanie! Imagine how much fun you'd have baking cake in a microwave oven with a turntable, Stephanie!StephanieFashionModel wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 8:28 amThe 'secret', Jamie, is to turn the cake - I generally turn it four times during a typical bake - so that the heat is evenly distributed (of course, then you need to be consistent: I always turn it clockwise!
