If it doesn't come in your size, why don't you see if you can find a pattern that does and recreate it? I don't think it would be too entirely difficult (and this is coming from someone who sews but not on a professional level) and there are so many fabric choices that you can play with. I could imagine it being redone with, say, true pink or blue velvet on the bodice, some white lace ruffling, and then, of course, a playful fabric for the skirt.

I just love how pretty the pink color is! Will you be adding the hat and petticoat to the costume? I think they're definitely a must, as is the wig!

What makeup will you wear to go with it? I think you should try the classic Marie look with the powdered white face, the pink or red lips, and the beauty mark, of course!

What an exciting costume prospect! Will you share pictures so we can see how lovely you look in it if you decide to go with this costume?

Such a fabulous outfit!
(its just a pity its not available in my size!)
Although my fingers are relatively slender for a man, I've never attempted sewing, Empress, although I would certainly love to be able to master it as I've always regarded it as one of the most feminine of chores.

I've always envied the actresses who wore similar outfits in my favourite costume movies! :)

I can see that understated elegance isn't quite your style. I can't think of very many sissies for whom that's the case, either. It's normally the Mistress at the other end of that sissy leash who exemplifies understated elegance so her sissy can truly shine when they go out for a day trip!

Now I'm all curious about what exactly you're looking for in a wedding dress! The beaded bodice has me intrigued, because I've seen so many that are so different. How long of a train do you want? I've seen some fabulous wedding gowns that practically scream sissy!

StephanieFashionModel wrote:
EmpressBella wrote:Aww! I think you'd make an absolutely stunning bride, my dear!

What sort of dress would you wear? I understand the long train, but would you do something almost fairytale like in appearance, with big puffy sleeves and a Cinderella skirt? Or would you go more towards the classic bride, slim sleeves and a moderately puffy skirt? Of course, there's always the contemporary fashions that seem to be all the rage now, streamlined and modern, very simplistic with an understated elegance.

I totally think you should go for it! Don't chicken out! Halloween only comes once a year, you know;)

I've been watching out for a wedding dress with those puff sleeves that I love so much but I've yet to see one that otherwise meets my high standards, regarding bodice, beading, skirts, length and type of train,.etc, etc...but I remain ever hopeful, now I know just how wonderful it is to wear my very own wedding dress.

And I don't believe in 'understated' elegance!
My ABSOLUTE favourite type of wedding dress are those with what we call here 'leg of mutton sleeves', Empress: partly its to hide my relatively muscular upper arms, but also its part of my favourite style of dress and ballgown, - from the Edwardian era of woman's dress.

The longer the train, the fuller the skirts, the more layers of underskirt, the more soft and feminine the fabrics of course the better, but, in addition to full sleeves, also lacy or other style of see-through bodice, above the breast would be an important part of my ideal look.
Before the Internet era I also bought a number of Bridal magazines and I cut out a number of my favourite dream gowns to regularly swoon over! :D

I'll try to locate some of them to scan, or, failing that, locate some on the Internet to give You a better idea of the dress I'd most love to get married in!

Ideally, I'd love to go out dressed as a sissybaby but I'm far too afraid to do so. I'd love to walk the streets in a puffy cupcake, pink t-shirt, a frilly cupcake bonnet, a bib and with some pink booties on my feet and matching mittens on my hands. I'm way too nervous to dress like that though, so the thought of being a sissybaby at a party and the alpha females laughing at me, checking my cupcake and making me drink from a bottle will just have to remain a fantasy.

Defiantly a frilly tutu :) ballet toe shoes and all pink :)
EmpressBella wrote:I bet you'll make an absolutely adorable little ballerina! The pink bows are certainly a nice touch.

Is your skirt going to be a frilly tutu, or are you going to do one of the sheer soft pink modern skirts the ballerina's are wearing lately? What about shoes? Will you go with toe shoes or just some ballet flats?

Oh! And colors! Will you do the traditional pink leotard and tights? Or are you going to be more daring with the colors? I think one of my favorite sissy outfits I've had the pleasure of seeing involved bright white tight and a shocking pink leotard/tutu combo.

There's no reason why you can't wear that outfit for Halloween, wannabe_cupcake! In fact, I'd say that this is the perfect time of year to dust off those puffy diapers and that frilly bonnet, tie that bib around your neck and snuggle into some pink booties! Depending on where you are, those mittens might not be a bad idea either, because if it's cold, you're going to need them!

Just think of how much attention you'd get! And if anyone asks you can always say it's just a last minute Halloween costume you threw together for the purposes of celebrating;)

XOXO,
Miss Bella

Daisy, I think you'd look amazing in that outfit!

You could even practice a few ballet moves to get yourself ready and limber for those toe shoes! I absolutely adore toe shoes, myself, and I think they are the very essence of a ballerina!

I can just see you with all that pretty pink all over your body, dancing your way from door to door, trick or treating for some sweets to match that sweet little smile:)

And I bet you could find one of those sparkly frilly pink tutus too! Add a sparkly tiara to your hair, and you could go as a ballerina princess!

Mmm. I have to agree! Edwardian fashion is just so elegant and lovely! I've seen the sleeves your talking about and I agree that it's almost perfectly suited to a sissy's frame! I hear, time and again, from my girls, that their biggest hurdle in going femme is their broad shoulders and more muscular biceps! What a clever way of concealing them!

The cupcake-a-boo bodice lace is such a gorgeous feminine touch! I especially like it when they do some sort of delicate embroidery along that lace panel. So very pretty!

I used to do the same with bridal magazines, lol! I still have one big edition that has several pages marked for the dresses I'd love to wear someday:) You MUST share with me these pictures! I'd love to see them, my dear!

Dear Empress Bella,

Hmmm. Isn't, "Bella," Italian for pretty? I'm sure you are.

Although Halloween is my favorite Holiday, it'll go un-used this year. For we cross-dressers, it's really Christmas!

The past few years, Mistress has not permitted me to be in a costume. I answer the, "trick or treaters," in my French Maid's Uniform. At least, I get to hang-up my everyday Hotel Maid's Uniform. Many of our neighbors have had their kids picture taken next to, "The Maid." The one Halloween Party that I'm permitted to attend (It's out on the Cape ..Cod, that is), will be missed by me. It's always held on the Saturday after Election Tuesday. The past few years, I've only been allowed to be in either my French Maid's Uniform or my Waitress Uniform.

"We're not spending money on any silly costume for you. The other people won't know it's your work clothes. To them, it'll be a costume."

It was the same way the last few years at my day-job. The customers thought it was a costume. They, "loved," my legs and my heels.

I've been wearing a Halloween-print Hospital Scrub at my day-job, as well to and from on the Commuter Rail.

This year, on Halloween itself, I'll be working. Mistress is still in the hospital. No one will be home. The weekend of my favorite Party, I'll or we'll, if Mistress is better, be in Connecticut to be with our grand-daughters.

I've still got my Nurse's store-bought costume from a few years ago. I'd like to be a ballerina but Ballerinas don't wear heels. For parts of the year I'm a businesswoman, so that's not a costume either. When I was little, I'd usually be dressed in my cupcake's clothes or my Mom's clothes.

If I had the opportunity, I'd love to be a, "blushing bride," Not only would that be a great Holloween outfit for me, it would be, just as it would be for Ms. Stephanie, F.M., a combination of Halloween, Christmas, and Dream-day, too.

Next year looks good, though. All Hallow's Eve will be on Sunday Night.

Sisterly yours,

Missy Susan.
I've been cross-dressing almost forever. The past few years finds me more interested in serving and being humilated by others. I'm a 100% Submissive Housemaid/husband. I, "love," my high heels and my Maids Uniforms.

Why thank you, Susan! You are correct;) My cupcake always told me that I was the prettiest thing she ever made, hence the name!

I'm sorry to hear that your Mistress is in the hospital and I do hope she gets better soon!

You're right that Halloween is more like Christmas for sissies and crossdressers! It's one night a year where you can go out however you wish and blend in a little better than you might otherwise.

Well, perhaps you could be a kinky ballerina with the ballet boots instead of the toe shoes? I think that could be quite a lovely outfit:)

I bet you'd look absolutely lovely as a blushing bride! It, as well as ballerina, tends to be the costume that sissies and crossdressers really want to try! Maybe next year you can convince your Mistress to let you wear a frilly, beautiful gown to your party!

Miss Bella

Dear Empress Bella,

Thank you for your kind thoughts. My Boss at my day-job, "read," how tired I looked and gave me the today and tomorrow off. Last night, I had off from my cook's job. That way, after my day-job, I went to the Arch Street Shrine, lit a candle for my Mistress/Wife and then took the, "T," to the hospital to visit with my Mistress. Just like Manhattan, I don't drive in Boston.

If you remember the Kingston Trio's, "MTA," (circa 1958-59?), that's the same line. Only it's now the, MBTA. You'd have to listen to it on an, "oldies," station. You're way too cupcake. I have the original 45 record.

Back to the Topic.

Quite some time ago, I had written, in a reply post, to Miss Stephanie, F.M. and I think the Miss Tiffany Anne, also entered a reply-post that for three days each week, that I pass a Bridal and Prom Gown Salon as I drive from home to my evening job. How I longed to stop in, get measured and purchase this one, beautiful Bridesmaid dress. However, Mistress would never authorize the purchase and I'd have to return it. My cook's job, per client request, is a Susan-less job. (My day-job is semi-Susan), Also the store is across the street from the Cafe, where our cupcake cooks. While all our cupcake and our cupcake-in-law know of my preferred state of Gender Expression, they do not want to see me, "dressed."

That store has changed their window display a few times, but they've never had a pretty a dress as that Robin's egg-shell blue dress. As Miss Stephaine and Ms Jacqueline Patricia know, I'd prefer it in yellow with black bead-work rather than the pink with white bead work.

THAT dress I would have, "loved," to have been in for, "24/7." I also, would not want to cause any embarrassment to my cupcake. So I dream and pass by the store.

Along with money, Mistress also controls my time. I have to qualify all my time to Her. I just can't even go out, window shopping. She doesn't permit it.

That dress, as Ms. Stephanie's Wedding Dress, would be so lovely to wear at any Halloween party.

If anyone were daring enough, they'd be dressed in a Bridal Gown, and wait outside a church for the wedding to conclude. Hang a sign around your neck that, "says," ANY LEFTOVER BACHELORS?

Thank you, again, for your well wishes for my Mistress/Bride of 42-years, plus.

Mark me down for being a Bride or a Teenaged girl in a Sweater and Poodle Skirt , with heels and a poodle-skirt hand-bag.

I'm gong back to sleep.

Missy Susan

Empress, I've had great difficulty locating enough of my dream dresses: unfortunately the modern woman doesn't seem to go in for the 'leg of mutton sleeve style', and dress manufacturers haven't yet woken up to the potential of the sissy wedding dress market  , but here's a few I love, especially the last one!

Dream Dress: "Conceptualized from a costume design found in "La Mode Illustree," this gown is a contemporary re-creation of one of Mmes Coussinet-Piret's turn-of-the-century gowns, rue Richer, circa 1894. Fashioned with the traditional Victorian requirements of a narrow waist, tight bodice and full skirt with a train, this gown also features a French gigot sleeve; wide and rounded at the shoulder while snuggly fitting on the lower arm. Created from an inner dress of Bridal Satin with net and an outer layer of embroidered organza, the gown features a fitted and dropped Basque waist and full skirt with cathedral train. Gigot or "Leg o' mutton" sleeves with scalloped organza oversleeve end in a wedding point."
(unfortunately, this one has sold! ) :(
